Sterner Veterinary Livestock Professionals has been serving farms in Michigan since 1943. We are committed to providing high-quality, progressive and timely care for all of our clients.
Providing high-quality and progressive care
We have a haul-in facility allowing us to perform routine exams, sick animal care and surgeries. We have veterinary technicians to run diagnostics for same day results and provide additional care to hospitalized patients. Supplies can be picked up at the clinic during office hours.
AMBULATORY FARM SERVICES
We offer a comprehensive range of services from routine herd health visits to individual animal care for our dairy, beef, small ruminants and commercial swine. Same-day appointments are available for sick or injured animals and an emergency service is available 24/7 in our practice area.
Our veterinarians are able to perform a full range of surgical procedures both on-farm and in-clinic. These surgeries range from abdominal surgery for displaced abomasum correction, C-sections, hernias, enucleations and many more.
We boast over 75 years of experience between our veterinarians. Our expertise ranges from reproduction, calf care, milk quality and other health concerns of livestock.
Drs. Bryce Slavik and Kyle Longcore currently provide embryo transfer services to our clients. They offer both conventional flush/embryo transfer and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in cooperation with Boviteq. On-farm or in-clinic services are available.
EMERGENCY CARE 24/7
One of our 7 veterinarians on staff is on-call to assist with any after hours emergencies you may have on your farm. We offer emergency care for dairy, beef, small ruminants and commercial swine (non-pet/pot bellied).
